Today I put myself
ahead of everyone else
today I put the differences aside
and was determined not to cry
about the little things,
the stupid things,
the eating at your brain things
Today I touched the sky
realized it's not my fight
that I have to win
That in the night
there's no telling
the good from the bad or
a pretty girl from a hag
Don't you go feeling sorry for me
I create my own insanity
Swirling flashes of blue and green
Whiplash looks and words that mean
to hurt all those that cross my path
